Google has received the go-ahead to build a $600 million data center in Henderson. The Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development approved about $25 million in tax abatements over a 20-year period. Governor Sandoval called these abatements “another landmark win” for Nevada and its efforts to expand its data center presence.
The data center in Henderson would support YouTube, Google Calendar, Gmail and more, as well as cloud computing services in North America. The center is expected to open in December 2020.
